Three Study Programs in the FT UNY Environment Ready to Use APS 4.0
On March 13, 2019, the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN PT) issued a circular letter with number 570/BAN-PT/LL/2019 regarding the provisions of the 2019 APS proposal, which basically said that the proposed accreditation file sent after March 31, 2019 must use the latest instrument, namely the Study Program Accreditation (APS) 4.0 instrument. The APS 4.0 instrument and its guidelines are contained in BAN PT Regulation Number 2 of 2019. This new instrument consists of:
- Self Evaluation Compilation Guide (Files can be downloaded at this link)
- Guide to Compilation of Study Program Performance Reports (Files can be downloaded at this link)
- Quantitative Data Form (Excel SAPTO Entry) (Files can be downloaded at this link)
It is known that there are 3 study programs within the Faculty of Engineering UNY that will propose accreditation in 2019. The study programs are Boga Technical Education (S1), Fashion Engineering Education (S1) and Automotive Engineering (D3). The accreditation status of the Boga Technical Education study program will expire on March 28, 2020. Fashion Engineering Education, which is still in the same department as Boga Engineering Education, will expire its accreditation on April 6, 2020. While the D3 Automotive Engineering study program will expire its accreditation on June 27, 2020.
Given that the accreditation file must have been uploaded at least 6 months before the expiration time, the three study programs must have completed the accreditation file in 2019. Various efforts have been made by the study program managers to prepare the files. The most important thing is to understand the contents of the new form known as Accreditation of Study Programs (APS) 4.0 which contains 9 criteria (previously 7 standards). Furthermore, the study program manager formed a form drafting team coordinated by the Head of the Study Program. The hope is that the three study programs will get the best accreditation title.
