ONLINE FIELD ASSESSMENT ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING STUDY PROGRAM – S1

The Electrical Engineering (S1) Study Program of the Faculty of Engineering, Yogyakarta State University has completed the online Field Assessment (AL) process with representatives of the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT) for accreditation assessment on Friday - Saturday (23-24/04/2021). The BAN-PT assessors in charge of the AL were Prof. Dr. Ir. Andani, M.T. (Hasanuddin University) and Ir. Eniman Yunus Syamsuddin, Ph.D. (Bandung Institute of Technology). The AL began with an opening speech by the Rector of Yogyakarta State University, Prof. Dr. Sumaryanto, M.Kes., AIFO.

After the opening, the event then continued with the verification process of Form III A and Form III B of the Faculty and Study Program. There are seven standards that are reviewed as the basis for assessment, including (1) vision, mission, goals and objectives, and achievement strategies, (2) governance, leadership, management systems and quality assurance, (3) students and graduates, (4) human resources, (5) curriculum, learning and academic atmosphere, (6) financing, facilities and infrastructure, and information systems, (7) research, service / community service and cooperation.

Dean of the Faculty of Engineering of Yogyakarta State University (FT UNY), Prof. Herman Dwi Surjono, Ph.D. in his presentation explained that FT UNY has 25 study programs consisting of S2 Engineering Education, S1 Engineering Education, S1 Engineering, D4 Engineering and 1 Professional Engineer Program.

"Then, we are integrated with a number of 42 information systems at UNY to support managerial activities, student affairs, academics, learning, human resource development, finance and infrastructure, research and community service, all of which can be accessed with Single Sign On (SSO)," continued the Dean of FT UNY.

Prof. Andani said that he and Mr. Eniman, Ph.D. were basically only tasked with verifying the forms that had been sent by the Study Program Management Unit (UPPS) to BAN-PT.

"Starting in 2020, FT UNY has also implemented a curriculum with the concept of Merdeka Belajar - Kampus Merdeka in accordance with the Ministry of Education and Culture's policy," he said.

On the second day, interviews or confirmations were conducted with lecturers, education staff, students, and the delivery of feedback. This session aims to confirm expectations, satisfaction or input. Meanwhile, at the closing, checking and signing of the AL minutes were carried out and the delivery of conclusions from the AL process that had been carried out by the assessors.

The results of the direct assessment of the Electrical Engineering Study Program accreditation will be announced in the next few weeks after going through several other verification stages at BAN-PT, namely examination by validators, executive board and BAN-PT assembly.
