Workshop on the Preparation of Emonev Learning Report at the Beginning of Gasal Semester FT UNY Academic Year 2023/2024

UPM FT UNY - Yogyakarta, October 12, 2023 - The Faculty of Engineering, Yogyakarta State University (FT UNY) held a workshop on the preparation of the Emonev Learning Report for the beginning of the odd semester of the academic year 2023/2024. This event took place on Thursday, October 12, 2023, from 12:30 to 16:00 WIB in the KPLT Conference Room, 2nd Floor. This activity was held by the FT UNY Quality Assurance Unit to ensure the quality of learning through structured monitoring evaluation (Emonev).

The workshop was opened by Mrs. Bonita Destiana, M.Pd., who conveyed the importance of preparing Emonev reports in the Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI) cycle which includes the PPEPP stages (Determination, Implementation, Evaluation, Control, and Improvement). Prof. Dr. Ir. Edy Supriyadi, M.Pd., Vice Dean for Academic, Student Affairs, and Alumni, provided direction on the importance of Emonev reports for accreditation at both national and international levels.

Amelia Fauziah Husna, S.Pd., M.Pd. and Yuwono Indro Hatmojo, S.Pd., M.Eng., presented the Early Learning Emonev report for the FT Academic Year 2023/2024. This report contains an evaluation of learning performance in various study programs in FT UNY.

There were 20 workshop participants, consisting of representatives of study programs and departments at FT UNY. This activity was held offline in the KPLT Conference Room, 2nd floor.

Activity Objective:

  1. Evaluation of Learning: To carry out monitoring of learning through filling out E-Monev on the http://survey.uny.ac.id/ page.
  2. Accreditation: Emonev reports are used as supporting documents in national and international accreditation.
  3. Performance Feedback: Collecting input from various stakeholders to improve academic services at FT UNY.

Results and Indicators of Success:

  1. Questionnaires Filled: The report shows that the participation rate of questionnaire filling varies between study programs, with some study programs achieving 100% filling.
  2. Learning Quality: The evaluation shows that the implementation of theoretical lectures, laboratories, and final assignments received a very good predicate in most study programs.
  3. Feedback and Follow-up: Feedback from workshop participants will be used for continuous improvement, including training for leaders to become more familiar with the E-Monev system.

Sustainability:

This activity is part of an ongoing effort to improve the quality of learning at FT UNY. After the preparation of the Emonev report, each study program is required to hold a Management Review Meeting (RTM) to follow up on the evaluation results. Prodi is also expected to upload the RTM report as part of the documentation process and quality improvement.

Prof. Dr. Ir. Edy Supriyadi, M.Pd. conveyed some important points in the discussion session, among others:

  1. The need to harmonize the name of study programs to accommodate CPNS formations.
  2. Strategies to increase student participation in filling E-Monev.
  3. The importance of training for leaders regarding the use of the E-Monev system.

Bonita Destiana, M.Pd., added that next year's Emonev report will be more detailed by inviting the Directorate of Quality Assurance and including this activity in next year's RKA. Monitoring at the end of the odd semester will also be improved to obtain more respondents.

Dr. Khusni Sauqi, M.Pd., emphasized that study programs need reports per study program for internal quality audit (AMI) purposes and different instruments for different types of competitions.

This workshop is expected to improve the quality of education at FT UNY and prepare study programs for a better accreditation process.
