INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY STUDY PROGRAM (S1) DOES FIELD ASSESSMENT FROM BAN-PT

Penjamu FT UNY - The Information Technology Study Program (S1) Faculty of Engineering, Yogyakarta State University, underwent an online field assessment (AL) process with representatives of the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT) for accreditation assessment on Friday and Saturday, December 17 and 18, 2021. The BAN-PT assessor on duty at the Navy is Dr. Ir. Sri Nurdiati, M.Sc., from the Bogor Agricultural Institute, and Dr. Amil Ahmad Ilham, S.T., M.IT., from Hasanuddin University. AL began with remarks by the Chancellor of Yogyakarta State University (UNY), which in this case was delivered by the Deputy Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Margana, M.Hum., M.A.

Margana explained that the Information Technology Study Program, although relatively new, has now become a prima donna, with an interest of more than 4,000 applicants in 2021-2022, a ratio of 1:91. "The Information Technology Study Program has become a magnet for us, attracting students throughout the archipelago and even abroad," continued Margana.

"UNY, which was ranked 2nd in Main Work Indicators for State Universities Public Service Agency (IKU PTN BLU) in 2021, continues to be committed to improving academic services and human resource development," he explained.

"Currently, UNY has 114 professors and will continue to increase, and various programs will continue to be encouraged to improve academic quality, such as the Teaching Practitioner Program on campus, inbound and outbound visiting professors, and others," he concluded.

Meanwhile, Sri Nurdiati said in her remarks that their task was more to confirm data and documents that had been sent to BAN PT, so there was more review and sharing in an effort to review the data that had been sent.

"I think that UNY has a good position at the national level and also has quite a number of assessors who have carried out self-assessments, so I think the 2-day process is more about sharing in accordance with BAN-PT guidelines," he said.

In line with this, Amil Ahmad Ilham expressed his hope that over the next two days we can share experiences with each other to improve the Information Technology Study Program (S1).

After the opening, the event then continued with the presentation of the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering UNY then the process of verifying Forms III A and Forms III B for the Faculties and Study Programs. There are seven standards that are reviewed as the basis for assessment, including (1) vision, mission, goals, and objectives, and achievement strategies; (2) governance, leadership, management systems, and quality assurance; (3) students and graduates; (4) resources—human resources; (5) curriculum, learning, and academic atmosphere; (6) financing, facilities, and infrastructure; and (7) research, service/community service, and cooperation. All stages of this activity are very relevant to the implementation of UNY's sustainable development goals in the field of quality education.
