FIELD ASSESSMENT OF MANUFACTURING ENGINEERING STUDY PROGRAM

The Manufacturing Engineering Study Program (S1) of the Faculty of Engineering, Yogyakarta State University underwent an online Field Assessment (AL) with representatives of the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT) for accreditation assessment on Friday - Saturday (16-17/07/2021). The BAN-PT assessors in charge of the AL were Dr.Eng. Widya Wijayanti, M.T., from Brawijaya University and Dr.Eng Meifal Rusli, M.T., from Andalas University.

The Rector of Yogyakarta State University, Prof. Dr. Sumaryanto, M.Kes., AIFO in his speech believed that the presence of the assessors could provide enlightenment for the progress and improvement of learning quality. "This assessment will definitely strengthen the existence of the Manufacturing Engineering Study Program to be able to perform optimally in accordance with the spirit of the Faculty of Engineering which continues to make various achievements," said the Rector of UNY.

Meanwhile, Dr. Eng. Widya Wijayanti, M.T., in her speech said that her party as a BAN-PT representative would dig up information and confirm related documents that had been sent. "From this process, we hope that we can also provide positive feedback for improving the quality of study programs," she said.

In line with this, Dr.Eng Meifal Rusli, M.T. emphasized that all processes are more about clarifying the data that has been submitted. "We make sure that everything will run as objectively as possible without the slightest conflict of interest.

After the opening ceremony, the Dean of FT UNY, Prof. Herman Dwi Surjono, Ph.D., in his presentation said that the Manufacturing Engineering Study Program is one of the new study programs that emphasizes the integration of product design, process design and the application of manufacturing technology.  

After the opening, the event then continued with the verification process of Form III A and Form III B of the Faculty and Study Program. There are seven standards that are reviewed as the basis for assessment, including (1) vision, mission, goals and objectives, and achievement strategies, (2) governance, leadership, management systems and quality assurance, (3) students and graduates, (4) human resources, (5) curriculum, learning and academic atmosphere, (6) financing, facilities and infrastructure, and information systems, (7) research, service / community service and cooperation.
