Field Assessment of the Applicant Bachelor of Electronic Engineering Study Program (D4)

The Applied Undergraduate Electronics Engineering Study Program (D4) of the Faculty of Engineering, Yogyakarta State University underwent an online Field Assessment (AL) process with representatives of the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT) for accreditation assessment on Wednesday - Thursday (28-29/07/2021). The BAN-PT assessors in charge of the AL were Syafrizal S., M.T. from Politeknik Negeri Jakarta and Eniman Yunus Syamsuddin, Ph.D. from Bandung Institute of Technology. The AL began with remarks from the Rector of Yogyakarta State University (UNY), Prof. Dr. Sumaryanto, M.Kes., AIFO.

The Rector of UNY stated that the development of vocational education is one of the main focuses of UNY today in order to realize superior, creative, innovative, actual, independent and scholarly people. "We are trying all out to optimize vocational study programs not only by increasing the capacity of their human resources but also accelerating labs and workshops as well as revising statutes and OTK to ensure the excellence of vocational education at UNY," he said.

Prof. Sumaryanto believes that the presence of the assessor on this occasion will certainly provide a lot of input for the development of vocational education at UNY, especially in the Applied Electronics Engineering Study Program. He hopes that the documents sent will be synchronized with the field assessment process. "Hopefully there are not many deviations that arise during the assessment process, even if there are hopefully only minor things that can be immediately improved," said the Rector of UNY.

"Through the momentum of this field visitation, of course we hope that the quality of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education services in the Applied Electronics Engineering Study Program will increase," he hoped.

Meanwhile, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering UNY, Prof. Herman Dwi Surjono, Ph.D., in his presentation said that the Applied Undergraduate Electronics Engineering Study Program (D4) is a metamorphosis of D3 Electronics Engineering based on the attachment of a letter from the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education No. B/185/C. Ca/KB.01.00/2019 concerning the Assignment of Changes in the Diploma III Program Study Program to Applied Bachelor in Higher Education to strengthen the vocational education level against future industrial challenges.

After the opening, the event then continued with the verification process of Form III A and Form III B of the Faculty and Study Program. There are seven standards that are reviewed as the basis for assessment, including (1) vision, mission, goals and objectives, and achievement strategies, (2) governance, leadership, management systems and quality assurance, (3) students and graduates, (4) human resources, (5) curriculum, learning and academic atmosphere, (6) financing, facilities and infrastructure, and information systems, (7) research, service / community service and cooperation.
