External Benchmarking Quality Assurance Unit Faculty of Engineering with Overseas State Universities (Universitas Teknologi Malaysia)

Penjamu FT UNY - The Quality Assurance Unit, Faculty of Engineering, Yogyakarta State University (UNY) held an external benchmarking activity for the FT Quality Assurance Unit with Foreign PTN (Universitas Teknologi Malaysia) on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, in the KPLT Hall, Floor 3. This activity was attended by the External Benchmarking Unit, FT Quality Assurance with Foreign PTN (Universitas Teknologi Malaysia).

In this activity, Prof. Herman Dwi Surjono, M.Sc., MT., Ph.D., as the dean of the faculty of engineering, explained that the purpose of benchmarking activities is to find best practices. In addition, there are several programs that wmoved,o ASIIN. Meanwhile, Ir. Yosep Efendi, M.Pd., as head of the quality assurance division, told about the study programs in the Faculty of Engineering, namely the undergraduate and postgraduate study programs. In addition, the Vocational Study Program has moved and the current number of lecturers is 206, a decrease from 269 because some have moved to the Vocational Faculty. UPM is one of the most important units, and it is hoped that it can provide best practices from UTM so that the quality of education at FT UNY can be better.

In this activity, Prof. Madya Dr. Yusri bin Kamin, a speaker presented directly from UTM, delivered material on improving accreditation every 4 years, external issues that need to be developed, designing digital transformation, and improving vision. The material is presented in presentation format (PPT).

The FT Quality Assurance Unit External Benchmarking Activity with Foreign PTNs (University of Technology Malaysia) aims to improve the quality of education at FT UNY by seeking best practices from foreign PTNs, especially UTM. It is hoped that with this activity, FT UNY can develop existing study programs and improve accreditation in a sustainable manner.
