The Civil Engineering and Planning Program Must Maintain Excellent Accreditation

The Study Program (Prodi) of Civil Engineering and Planning Education, Faculty of Engineering, Yogyakarta State University, managed to maintain the achievement of Superior Accreditation based on BAN-PT Decree No. 10497/SK/BAN-PT/AK-ISK/S/VIII/2021, which is valid until September 4, 2025. This achievement was again achieved thanks to the quality of the Civil Engineering and Planning Education Study Program, which is always being improved from time to time. This accreditation assessment is carried out periodically, every 5 years, by the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT), covering various aspects, such as vision, mission, goals, and objectives, as well as achievement strategies, management systems, students and graduates, human resources, curriculum, facilities, infrastructure, information systems, research, service/community service, and cooperation.

The coordinator of the Civil Engineering and Planning Education Study Program, Dr. Nuryadin Eko Raharjo, M.Pd., explained that maintaining accreditation is not an easy thing. Many aspects of the assessment are seen in this accreditation assessment, not only regarding study program management but also regarding input and output related to how study programs get new students and the quality of alumni. "In the process, the quality of the lecturers and teaching and learning activities is also maintained, as is the relationship with the students so that they feel comfortable processing this study program," he said.

"While expressing gratitude, superior academics are also a responsibility and a big challenge to continue to maintain quality because future challenges are even greater to improve the quality of the teaching and learning process, the quality of human resources, the quality of management and governance, as well as the quality of graduates and cooperation with other parties outside," he said.

"Moreover, nowadays, universities are continuously encouraged to achieve international accreditation by improving the quality of lecturers and the quality of education as a guarantee for the quality of higher education in the eyes of the international public," continued Nuryadin.

"We would like to thank all leaders, lecturers, education staff, alumni, students, and stakeholders for their cooperation. We will balance this satisfying result with improvements from various sides in a sustainable manner," said Nuryadin.
