2023 Faculty of Engineering Quality Assurance Team Work Coordination Meeting

Penjamu FT UNY - On Thursday, January 26 2023, a meeting was held for the 2023 Faculty of Engineering Quality Assurance Team Work Coordination meeting in the KPLT Meeting Room, 2nd floor of the Faculty of Engineering, Yogyakarta State University (UNY). This activity was attended by the leadership of the Faculty of Engineering who was represented by the Deputy Dean for Academic, Student Affairs, and Alumni of FT UNY Prof. Dr. Ir. Edy Supriyadi, M.Pd. as well as the Head of the Quality Assurance Unit and the team. This meeting discussed several important matters related to quality development at the Faculty of Engineering UNY.

Head of Quality Assurance Unit Dr. Umi Rochayati, M.T conveyed several important matters, such as plans to meet with all GPM on Thursday, 26 January 2023 from 14.00 to 16.00 WIB. Apart from that, it was also conveyed who would be grouped in the quality development and monitoring and evaluation audit divisions. There is also a program plan for hosting activities during the RKPT, even though the RKPT has not been ratified yet, there are activity plans. According to the Dean, the host oversees accreditation and the learning process. Dr. Umi also explained that at ITB, they had not measured CPMK and SKL (graduate competency standards), so a program was made for how lecturers make portfolios at the end of courses. The achievement results will be linked with SKL.

Meanwhile, the Secretary of the Quality Assurance Unit of the Faculty of Engineering, Bonita Destiana, S.P.D., M.P.D., suggested choosing one of the departments and using research funds as a pilot project. This is done so that it can be tested in one year. Also, it can be submitted to the forum, asking for the leadership's opinion.

Audit and monev division coordinator Dr. Muhammad Munir, M.Pd., emphasized the need for evaluation experts for standard assessments related to CPMK and SKL. He suggested that Mrs. Prof. Endang and Mr. Giri be involved in the work. This is a big job that definitely requires instruments. Even though there are still two coordinators, in terms of work, there are additions and developments.

Meanwhile, the Chief Coordinator of the Quality Development Division, Ir. Yosep Efendi, S.Pd., M.Pd., suggested that quality development work be included in the research scheme to oversee the CPMK instrument development activities. There are around IDR 30 million in funds and we need to find cooperation with the industry. Then the activity was given the name international accreditation. Regarding the distribution of GPM, it is not per division but per program only. There are several programs that must be done together.
 

In addition, Head of Quality Assurance Unit Dr. Umi Rochayati, M.T., also said that ITB did not show a system, but there was a report. Therefore, a draft portfolio is needed that is easier for lecturers to fill out. "Bu Ratna Wardani can help create a portfolio system," he said.

The Head of the Quality Assurance Unit also said that Mr. Wagiran would become the Head of the Campus, followed by certification (AUN-QA) and accreditation by Mr. Joko. He also said that the organizational structure at the center had changed; faculties were given freedom for the organizational structure. The engineering faculty has issued a decree, and the organizational structure of TPM is still the same.

This coordination meeting is very important to determine plans and work programs for quality assurance at the Faculty of Engineering, UNY, in the future. Hopefully, the results of this meeting can provide benefits and bring progress to the UNY Faculty of Engineering.
